CMS has new Notification of Hospital Discharge Appeal Rights that must be used beginning April 1, 2011. The latest versions of the "Important Message from Medicare", Form CMS-R-193, and the "Detailed Notice of Discharge", Form CMS-10066, - updated as of July 20, 2010 - are posted at www.cms.gov/bni, click on “Hospital Discharge Appeal Notices.”  Check this page frequently for updates.

In order to be sure you receive future important CMS updates as they are available, please register on the CMS website, http://cms.gov, to be added to the ListServs.  CMS considers the ListServs a primary means of communication with providers on regulations and related materials.
